In 1983 Bishop Minihofer-Windisch became Patriarch Kyrillus of the Autonome Katholisch-Orthodoxe Patriarchat , He has served as Apostolic Delegate for Switzerland, Austria and Germany. In 1985 he resigned from the American Orthodox Catholic Church.

Bp. Minihofer-Windisch is now Bishop Symeon, the Titular-Bishop of Lampsakos and the exarch for Austria under the jurisdiction of the Greek-Orthodox Old Calendar Synod of Oropos and Fili in Greece.
