Cosima Wagner's Diaries. Vol. I: 1869-1877. Edited and annotated by Martin Gregor-Dellin and Dietrich Mack.
Translated and with an Introduction by Geoffrey Skelton. (New York, NY: Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, 1978).

Saturday, November 18, 1871: "I thank Frau Standhartner, who has very kindly asked me to stay with her if we go to Vienna."

Monday, May 6, 1872: "Arrival [in Vienna] at 10 o'clock, many Wagner Society-ites, reassurance concerning Kafka, nice accommodations with the Standhartners."

Sunday, January 11, 1874: "A telegram from Minna Standhartner, saying my father has just been playing in Vienna (for the Franz Joseph Foundation), 'storms of applause,' which strikes us as strange!"

Friday, July 3, 1874: "Arrival of the photographs of Marie Muchanoff, sent to me by Frau Standhartner, a moving moment, transporting me with R. into memories of her personality. 'Her downfall,' R. observes, 'was her inability to find words for the enthusiasm which she proved in deeds.'"
